Joboshare DVD to iPod Converter is a DVD movie ripper for Windows. It allows you to copy your DVD movies and convert them into a variety of formats, not only those supported by the iPod. This application comes pre-loaded with quite a few conversion profiles. By default, only those for the iPod are shown, but a little change reveals all the other formats that are supported. Other than the formats natively supported by the iPod, iPhone, and iPad, Joboshare DVD to iPod Converter supports conversion to ASF, AVI, MKV, MPEG-1, RM, WMV, among others.
This ripper has the default set of features. You can preview the titles with the built-in video player and select the audio and subtitle tracks. By selecting a title, you can choose from the drop-down menus what language you want the audio and subtitle tracks to be in. If you don't want subtitles, you just leave that option untouched.
In terms of performance, Joboshare DVD to iPod Converter seems to be as fast as other solutions out there. But not as fast as those that support GPU acceleration. Its design is pretty standard but intuitive, and it makes the app easy to use.
